Contemporaneous is an ensemble of 25 musicians whose mission is to bring to life the most transformative music by living composers, particularly championing the creation of large-scale works and “dream projects,” which composers might not otherwise have opportunities to realize due to scale. Our recent performance of Stranger Love being listed as one of the year’s “best classical music performances” by the New York Times.

Concordium continues the 18th-century Harmonie tradition of wind-ensemble performance—bringing music into public spaces, revisiting opera reductions, and immersing listeners in fresh sonic dialogues among winds and brass. Rooted in craftsmanship and communal presence, the ensemble reimagines the historic serenade and promenade concert as living, breathing experiences for contemporary audiences
